SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell
SCRIPTURE: “as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, 12 that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. 13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.” 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12
Our eternal Father in Heaven, again as a people who are called by Your name, we’ve gathered in this place to open Your Word, desiring once again that You would speak to us. We are aware that You know everything that hinders us this morning. Every wall, every barrier, all the things that have been raised up that could hinder us receiving the truth, we desire to yield to the Holy Spirit that He might tear it down, so that we would have free course to receive the truth. That our hearts might be touched in all the right places, that every barrier would be replaced with the truth. Use, I pray, this preacher once again to speak in accordance to Your Word, for it is our desire that You would do that and we will give You praise and give You thanks for we ask it all in Jesus’ name, amen and amen.
