SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE:  “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. 5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,” Romans 15:4-5
Father, we thank You for Your Word. The entrance of It does give us light.  We're so thankful that these things were written aforetime for our learning that through patience and the comfort of the Scriptures we may be a people who live with the assurance of Your Word. So now Lord, as we meditate on these things I pray, starting in my own heart, that the revelation of You would refresh my soul. That You, in showing us another glimpse of Yourself will cause our hearts to praise You. Even when it doesn't come out of our mouths, our hearts are still praising You for there's much to be grateful to You for.  You have shown us all kinds of grace, all kinds of mercy. You have shown us your faithfulness, You have honored Your Word. Truly it is not known at this point for many of us how many unseen dangers, how many unknown enemies, how many unknown tragedies You have saved us from.  So it is our honor to walk and to follow You by faith. You are our true and living God and we praise You for that! The same God who moved Moses,  the same God who preserved Joseph,  the same God that spoke to Abraham,  You are the God that we lift up and give the highest praise! You are the God who was, is, and is to come and we bow our hearts before You in adoration and praise for You are the true and living God! Amen and Amen!
