He Knows Our Frame
SCRIPTURE: “As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:13-14

“The Lord of all knows what He is working with…” is a comment in which many Christ followers find great consolation. People in general, and even those closest to us, can never consistently show us the level of empathy, sympathy, and infinite understanding that our Savior does; nor is it actually fair of us to expect that of people—even from those who love us the most. Who but the omniscient Alpha and Omega has perfect knowledge of our personal character and personality, our spiritual journey, and yet cares so profoundly for you and me? Who but our sovereign Lord makes available for the likes of us a fresh supply of brand new mercies every morning? Who else but our omnipotent Savior God has the unparalleled ability and willingness to pour out upon us His marvelous grace amid
the multitude of trials and faith-failings that come upon us from time to time? Who beckons us daily to draw near to Him, to cast every care, every need before Him, simply because He cares for us?
We cannot surprise our omniscient Savior, or weary Him with our petitions for wisdom, strength, or even a plea for personal revival. That said, isn’t it time we who claim to know Him practiced living in the consistent daily awareness that our El Shaddai [God Almighty] gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength [Isaiah 40:29]? Bless our Savior God, you redeemed ones, and remember, He knows that we are but dust.
PRAYER: Dear Father, as our El Shaddai, we thank You for renewing our strength and reminding us that You know what we are made of. Amen!
