God’s Grace Conquers Sin
SCRIPTURE: “This is a faithful saying and worthy of al acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.” 1 Timothy 1:15

Many times, you hear people say that they’ve done too much to come to Jesus. The reality is we all have a past and if we are honest, we all have a present too. The good news is that Jesus came to save us, that the death on the cross is good until the end of time, and once Christ is accepted nothing you do can separate you from the love of God. Now, this is not a free ticket to do whatever you want but instead it’s an invitation to live holy with an eternal safety net. Moreover, no one is better than anyone else. The Bible tells us that "ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)." Despite our short comings, despite the world’s short comings, Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:17). As a result, there is no sin too great. So, whenever you begin to think, “Oh, I can’t come back from that” or “God will never forgive me”, remember that Christ died once for all sinners and all sin, even yours.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, I come to you first thanking You for who You are. Thanking You for always loving and protecting me. Lord, forgive me for doubting Your love. Forgive me for my prideful thinking. I ask that You speak to my heart and remind me that I’m Yours unconditionally. When we begin to sway and get down on ourselves because of sin remind us that Your word says if we confess our sin that You are faithful and just and not only will You forgive our sins, but You will cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Lord, remind us that there is no sin too great because the shed blood of Christ is enough. Thank You, Lord for grace and mercy. Thank You for the Holy Spirit that helps us fight the urge to practice sin and thank You for Your Son Jesus the Christ who died for our sins. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
