Eternal vs Temporary: Do Not Lose Heart

SCRIPTURE: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Satan is the master of illusion and wants to use the things of the world to impact us. The pride of life, depression, pain, and sadness, all things that are temporary and don't exist in the Kingdom of God. Satan uses these illusions of infinite pain sadness to bring us to a point of being hopeless and angry at God. So angry and hopeless to the point that we would denounce God and loose our faith in Him. His goal is to put us in the same place as he is in, unable to access heaven or the kingdom of God. Misery loves company.

The enemy knows that earth is temporary, and that heaven and the kingdom of God is eternal, and if he can persuade us to stop believing while we're here on this temporary earth, and to believe that this temporary pain is eternal, he can possibly convince us or dissuade us from believing in God and entering into eternal life with Jesus.

PRAYER:
Lord, help us to keep our eyes fixed upon You. Keep us from being distracted by the temporary hurdles and fiery darts thrown by the enemy! Keep us steadfast and provide us with the energy and consistency to run this race, knowing that the troubles of this world are temporary, but the riches of your glory are everlasting! Lord please comfort us in times of hardship, loneliness, depression, anger, and fear. Knowing that these temporary tribulations are meant not to destroy us, but to produce Godly fruit and character in us. Thank You for choosing us, redeeming us, and keeping us. We patiently await the day we are reunited with You and all of our troubles are no more! In Your name we pray, Amen.

Yes, the world has the three monsters the enemy just loves to use-lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life! Amen for those who do the will of God! The Word says they will abide forever. Thank You Jesus. Thanks Chris.
