Guilty: I Am A Prisoner of the Lord

Our Devotional Team wraps up the journey of encouragement with “Peace Among the Saints.” We pray that you have been encouraged with this week’s scriptures and devotionals!
SCRIPTURE:  “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18
SCRIPTURE: “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,  beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called…” Ephesians 4:1
I am a spiritual convict,
My rap sheet defies any conflict.

So, I am guilty of walking in unity,
Worthy of my calling for the sake of the Kingdom Community.

My only Judge sentenced me to eternal life,
Rather than quarrel, I live for what’s peaceful and right.

Although this may mean losing the argument for the sake of winning the person,
I am willing to turn the cheek to honor my calling by walking righteous and worthy.

Even when the matter appears hostile, I will take responsibility for a peaceful opportunity,
I am solely depending on the Lord to grant any possibility to walk in unity for immunity.

The Lord desires peace amongst the saints,
A guilty plea will encourage the people who ain’t.

I already know what the Lord expects from this Holy inmate,
Therefore, I will hide His Word in my heart to keep me safe.

So, I will remain a prisoner of the Lord,
Chaos, contention, and conflict will be intentionally avoided.

Prayer: Lord, Your ways are not mine. Cultivate in me a peaceful heart. Allow me to see Your side of the story rather than mine. Give me a forgiving heart. Remove the pride and bless me with humility. Influence my choice to seek peace amongst the Saints. Let this love You’ve given me encourage believers and unbelievers to come to You on their knees. In the matchless name of Jesus!
